How to prevent bank transfer reversals

Updated over a week ago

Avoid fees associated with a bank transfer reversal (see Fee Schedule) by following these recommendations:

  • Ensure the bank account has sufficient funds available for at least 5 business days after you initiate the transfer as it could take time for your bank to process the request

  • Ensure there are no pending transactions made beforehand that would reduce the amount in the bank account below the amount of the deposit request

  • Confirm with the bank account that it is permitted to make standard outgoing ACH transfers to Double. Certain accounts have specific restrictions and it's important to be aware of what those restrictions are prior to connecting your bank account.

For some reversals, we may also remove your bank account connect. See Managing Bank Account Connections for details on reconnecting your bank account.

Multiple reversals can cause Double to place restrictions on your account or close your account.
