Why am I getting so many Emails?

Learn how to handle the large amount of emails you may be receiving from Double

Updated over a week ago

We understand that you may be receiving a high volume of emails from the address [email protected], often containing the words "DOUBLE FINANCE". We recognize this can be disruptive to your inbox management.

Why am I receiving these emails?

These emails are sent directly by our custodian, Apex Clearing, through their service provider, ProxyVote ([email protected]). As these communications originate from their system, we currently do not have the ability to control the frequency or prevent them from being sent at the source.

What can I do to manage these emails?

While we cannot stop the emails from being sent by Apex/ProxyVote at this time, you can easily set up a filter in your email client (like Gmail) to automatically move these messages out of your main inbox, keeping it cleaner. This typically means the emails are archived, so they are still accessible if you need them later (e.g., via search) but won't clutter your primary view.

How to Create a Filter in Gmail:

Here are two ways to set up the filter:

Method 1: Using a Pre-filled Link (Easiest)

  1. This link will open the Gmail filter creation window with the necessary details pre-filled (From: [email protected], Has the words: DOUBLE FINANCE).

  2. Verify the pre-filled information is correct.

  3. Click "Create filter".

  4. Check the box next to "Skip the Inbox (Archive it)".

  5. (Optional) Check the box "Also apply filter to matching conversations" to archive existing emails from this sender that match the criteria.

  6. Click "Create filter".

Method 2: Manual Filter Creation

  1. Open Gmail.

  2. Click the Settings gear icon in the top right.

  3. Click "See all settings".

  4. Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.

  5. Click "Create a new filter".

  6. In the "From" field, enter: [email protected]

  7. In the "Has the words" field, enter: DOUBLE FINANCE

  8. Click "Create filter".

  9. Check the box next to "Skip the Inbox (Archive it)".

  10. (Optional) Check the box "Also apply filter to matching conversations".

  11. Click "Create filter".

Once set up, future emails from [email protected] containing "DOUBLE FINANCE" will bypass your inbox and be automatically archived. You can still find them by searching your mail or looking in the "All Mail" label in Gmail.

We apologize for the inconvenience these emails may cause and hope this filtering solution helps improve your inbox experience.
